Default Ls7 Rod Piston Balance Question

Question Engine Builder / Machine Shop guys.

I have a set of stock Ls7 piston an Rod an i see the weights stamped on the rod caps

My question is how would I pair these up on each journal to have it balanced best?

Should the heavier rods be in the middle or on the ends an so on?

Will be also using stock Ls7 crank.

Thanks for the help!

Those stamping aren’t the weights. The Ti LS7 rods weigh 464 grams each.

So all Ls7 rods weigh exactly the same? And any idea what the stamps are?

Thanks!

They look to me like serial numbers. 25511637, 25511655, 25511760, 25511800, etc. With the last three digits on both the cap and rod so you don't mix them up.

If all eight digits were weight, the variation would be too small. If the last three digits were weight, the variation would be too great.
