2012 LS3 Camaro engine slapping sound.

2012 LS3 Camaro engine slapping sound. I just did an oil pump replacement in my camaro, and I drove it down the street, ran just fine. I come back home and started it again after checking for leaks and fluid levels. I start it back up and drive it again to double check but when I come back home i hear a slight rubber squeak alongside with what sounds like a slap in the engine. Engine runs really smooth, the sound just really bothers me. It is very easily heard. Any ideas on what it could be?

I’d remove the belt to help eliminate any belt noise. Start it up and have a listen. Don’t run it long as you have no coolant flow. If it happens while warm, get it warm first, then remove the belt. If it still make the sound/ chirping sound, pull off the valve covers and listen while it’s running( put your belt on first). If it’s not the valve train, I bet a lifter started to turn , causing the chirp. That’s what I’d do anyways.
