Default L92 P0011 Issues

Hello Everyone,

We have a 2007 Cadillac Esclade ESV with the L92 6.2L in it that we are having some issues with, the mil light code that keeps coming back is p0011, service traction control, service stabilitrak. The engine was rebuild by myself, I took took engine to a machine shop and they did a valve job. Hot tanked everything and resurfaced the heads, they did not take anything from the cylinder walls, the crank bearings we were instructed to buy were .030 and the main bearings we were instructed to buy were .010. We reused our pistons, rods, and cam, everything else was replaced with new engine tech parts from rockauto. We suspect the cause of this code to be oil pressure related and we are looking for any insight. For a comparison I have included a picture of a chart made to show oil pressures with corresponding temperatures of another vehicle we have with the same l92, the l92 in the 2nd vehicle came from jasper engines has approximately 48k miles.

Vehicle 1 (Vehicle with p0011)
2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV 6.2 L92

Vehicle 2
2007 GMC Yukon Denali XL 1500 6.2 L92

I am preparing some data for viewing that I will post tomorrow, any help is much appreciated.

Thanks, I was reading a few things and seen that as well. I will check soon. Meanwhile here is the data that I was preparing. It shows the comparison of oil pressures at different temperatures and conditions. There are two vehicles in this chart (RS2 and RS4).
RS2 is a 2007 GMC Yukon Denali XL 1500 6.2L L92 (Like New Jasper Engine, 50k Miles, Installed By Myself)
RS4 is a 2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV 6.2L L92 (Freshly rebuilt engine by myself, reused cam, rods, and pistons, everything else was milled, honed, and ground.)
Both vehicles do not have AFM.
The Cadillac temperature gauge flucuates a lot as well, going from half to 3/4 and then will actually rise in temperature after shutting off. It was not doing this before the rebuild. The P0011 code comes on almost every time you drive it with the exception of this last time, I added BARDAHL Stop Leak/Stop Smoke. It was the thickest viscosity oil additive I could find, it seemed to help with the pressures some.

Any and all help, advise, or opinions are welcome and appreciated.

So I’m not a GM code genius but from what I see, P0011 is a camshaft advanced code and probably a VVT issue. Maybe I’m wrong? Wouldn’t be the first time…

Hi did you ever figure out the low oil pressure problem I’m having the same problem in my 2007 Yukon Denali
