Default Lucas Break In Oil question

Can I use Lucas 30W break in oil to safely break in my LSX build / for the initial start up? I already have some so it would be great if I can use it.

First startup oil for me is always dumped anyway,, its just to seat the rings and flush things.. I usually do < 100 miles and change the oil. YMMV..

Like PDX said above, break-in oil can be cheap any-grade (within reason...) oil to pick up all the crud that a new engine casts off while breaking in, that gets changed often for that reason. So, if you have it, use it until gone or it's time to switch to good oil.

I'd suggest a good break-in specific oil, not a synthetic and one with lots of ZDDP. Driven or Amsoil. That Lucas break-in oil you have is probably okay for break-in.
