Default L99 Lifter Valley Marks

Are these marks above the camshaft normal from the factory? This engine is a pullout from a 2012 Camaro w/97k miles.
Thank you.
Blake

I'm going with no. That right side looks like something knocked it out. I honestly don't know though, I'll check another L99 we have, but it will be a couple days.

The engine rotates freely through 2 complete revolutions on the stand. It does not appear to have ever been taken apart from what we've seen so far. No chunks in the pan or oil filter.
Thank you rp for checking.

looks like someone tried to hog out that window near the timing chain.

I have an L99 block in my vette.
That area looked like crap. Bunch of casting flash that looked like the foundry did a half assed job of cleaning up.
So I took the time to do it right.
