Best bang for the buck out there for Ls shaft system.i think a turn and a half =0.075 turn the adjuster fully counter clockwise to it stop.then turn it a turn and a half clockwise to get your pushrod length.i think if you are running a 800 lift cam I don’t think it call for shims

Yes adjuster at 1 to 1.5 turn down and measure, but I don't like how the angle of the pushrod to rocker arm looks BTW Cam lift its a bit less then .750

I can't make an accurate statement to the OP either way. I'll state the obvious, that the needle tip probably has the least friction, but probably with a slight tip weight penalty. The non-needle is probably more durable, especially if the valves float (happens to most everyone at one time or another!). I'd ask if there's any way to change them over if you decide later you want the other option. I'm guessing you can't do it, but I've been wrong before. If I'm forced to make a recommendation, I'd go with the non-needle tip, but thats just me.

In regards to your concern about the pushrod angle, I'm assuming you got it figured out? However, if anyone else is reading this, the diagram shows the rocker at 1/2 lift, and the OP's photo shows the rocker at rest. They want the pushrod angle at 1/2 lift to be 90* and the roller to be centered on the valve tip. It's normal for there to be that kind of angle on the pushrod when at rest.

Yes. Pushrod should be 90 degrees to rocker body at mid-lift, and roller/pad centered on valve tip.
