Lifters

Good evening everyone! Unfortunately I had a morel 7717 lifter fail and am in the process of rebuilding. The engine is an LS3, ported heads and 11:1 compression. Looking for lifter suggestions. Genuine LS7 lifters or make the just to tie bars? What brand? Thank you.

I’d get a tie bar lifter at minimum. I’m using Johnson 2116LSR no problems so far.

I looked at switching to tie bars, but it seems like the field is 50/50 on whether they are an improvement or not. My research has made indecision increase

There is no margin for error when you're running that much beyond their design criteria, which is probably 110lbs on the seat, and 335-350lbs@max lift. I'd probably be smart to change to tie bars and Johnsons or Morels. Probably not their "drop-in", budget line either. I've heard ZERO complaints on Johnson, except trying to set lash on their LT lifters.
