Default reusing pistons.

i am doing a budget build on an l92. i am doing a swap into my cayman, and with all the other swap costs adding up, i need to budget where i can.

the cylinders looked good, no signs of dammage, crank and all main and rod bearings looked good.
cam bearing was to copper on bottom of front bearing.

i will de doing the VVT delete with cam, new springs etc.

my question is about the stock pistons. the coating on the sides is worn off in the middle, and after cleaning the pistons the rest pretty much all came off.

pistons dont show any signs of gouging, just smooth where the coating was gone..

can i reuse these?

yes you can reuse as long as theres nothing big enough to catch a fingernail on in them or in the cylinder bore

there were no scoring at all in the cylinder or on the skirt.

the teflon/graphite on the skirt was worn on off on the middle of the skirt but all was smooth.

during the cleaning the coating came off.
