Default Oil analysis.

My engine only has around 400 miles. Started to hear a funny nose coming from the bottom end. I did a oil analysis. Its high for Cooper and lead and steel but I'm not sure how bad the results really are. I know that some of from the piston rings and other parts. This is the 2nd oil change. I use Lucas break in oil. It's a turbo car so the engine is built with higher tolerance.Could someone help shed some light on this for me please. Thanks

It's a 4.10 ci ls. Turbo car. When hot the oil pressure is at 29-30 lbs. At 2 k it's 45. On cold start it's 65 at idle and close to 80 at 2k. I got into boost few times and the oil pressure never dropped off at all. It just kept climbing.

The results show bearing wear, but may be a non-point considering the low mileage. Change oil and LOOk at it. See if there is anything you can see like metal in it or condensation, etc. Don't freak out yet, but pay attention👍

Even I drained the oil it was gray in color. Not like coolant in the oil but really great in color. That's what made me send the oil sample in

Did you cut the filters open?
Silicon is also high. Dirty assembly?

We did. Didn't see much as far as copper chunks in the filter. There was some small particles in the filter that could be ring material I hope. I really don't have a issue pulling the engine out and running though the bearings. I didn't know that ment that it was a dirty assembly. I paid alot of money to have the engine built. I guess we live and learn. Thank you for all reply, I appreciate it.

I honestly didn't build the engine I had a shop build it. If it was yours would you pull it out real fast and check out over. It has a molnar billet crank don't try want to hurt it. I do appreciate everyone's help on this

I'd pull it, take it and the oil sample report, to the builder and ask him what he's going to do about it.

I'll just pull it out and have it looked. Kinda sucks but I would rather spend some extra time and get it fixed before it's a major fix
