Low end power turbo setup on 6.0 L96
I have a 2012 Sierra 2500 quad cab 8' with the 6.0 and a 6l90, and lately i've been wanting to go for a low-boost turbo setup to help me get some pickup on the low end. I'd be shooting for about 450-500hp and i'd like to keep it as stock as possible while still being reliable (stock cam, fuel system and whatnot if possible). I've heard these engines can have trouble with overheating with a turbo so i'd probably put a big ol intercooler in to help(and maybe a water sprayer for cool factor lol). I've been using this as my daily driver for the past year or so and it was a sunday driver before that, so i'd wanna maintain the ability to daily it and occasionally tow. I'm thinking about running no more than 6psi just to be safe for the long term. Truck's got about 160k mi on it and my main concern would be the torque converter and the overheating i've heard about, i'd like to keep it low cost which is why i'm shooting for low power and stock cam/fueling. I've heard that a good tune is the real make or break for something like this, but i was just wondering if there would be any other things to take into consideration so any guidance/advice on what route to take or parts to invest in would be appreciated greatly.
