I am placing a bet that GM has purposely detuned this motor for some reason(probably to make sure it didn't run over the current Z06's) and once we get a chance to play in the PCM it should be known. Either way, this LS2 is putting down numbers similar to the 01 Z06's, even though it has better compression, the same cam profile, larger intake, straighter exhaust and more displacement. Very disappointing numbers IMO. The after header #s LGM got are what I expected to see stock LS2s doing....

Keep in mind that TEA dyno'ed a pre-production car with quite a few miles on it, and it dyno'd 363 I believe. Could be a different PCM tune, or some break in miles, etc... I talked with Lou AFR is right on even with headers on. The car didn't go pig rich. So, timing is probably the only thing right off the bat you can do to help the car. Of course expect it to take a bit of time to get Ls2edit or HPtuners for LS2 out to folks...

It's only got 45 miles on it. Maybe it will pick up some more power when its broken in.

Longest.....headers......EVER!!!!

And I kinda expected more from the stock LS2. It should build some more power once it racks up a few miles.

That's what i am thinking. With only 45 miles that engine is still pretty tight internally. Give it a couple hunderd hard miles to break it in and i am sure you will free up some power.

Here is the stock manifold photo links. this is the first restriction. then the cam has to be a mild cam. When I drove the car to the shop, I was in shock how slow it felt. maybe I have been too used to the 475rwhp in my C5. But the car now has great torque feel at about 3000 to 5000. It is now a pleasure to drive.



The final numbers with our headers and some 93 octane gas ( car had 89 from dealer) ended up at 375rwhp 378rwtq.

Those numbers match the 400 flywheel numbers of the manufacturer.
We should have no problem making nice numbers with one of our G5X cams and heads.

Our LG Pro Long Tube Headers fit well but we have shipped the car off to Borla already for some "Tweaks" to make a specific part number for the C6 LG Headers. We are very happy that GM didn't change too much on this car from a "Tuner" standpoint. We should see some nice hp numbers very soon.

LS2 edit should be in our hands in about a month or so.

If you put a g5x cam in, what are you gonna do about the cam sensor being in a different place?
