Estimated time until the LS7 in available?

Estimated time until the LS7 in available? Anyone want to make an educated guess? I have no prior experience with GM, so I don't know if these engines will be available before the Z06 goes on sale or not?
Also, does anyone have a clue if they will be a bolt-in replacement for a LS1, like the LS2 is? (minus the cam angle sensor, knock sensors and MAP sensor locations).
It should be more or less the same weight as the LS1 correct?
I'm trying to decide wether its worth it to go H/C soon, or just do bolt-ons and wait for the LS7.

When it is available, you might have some tuning issues, the C6 is running the GMCAN system for the PCM,BCM, etc, and it runs 4X faster than what the current PCM is running. An 04 vette PCM is also running the CAN system but not the faster PCM. The good news is the transmission has its own TCM and should be easier to program for line pressure, TM etc. Getting ready for the OBD III.
