Default looks like 425ci LS7!!!

if this is late, sorry, but the engine they put in Leno's Toronado 425ci.!!!! I guess that give soem more credibility to the earlier claims

yep, was just watching that...it was interesting...the question is if that was the ls7, or just like a tuned up ls2 or something...hopefully its a good omen tho

The 425 was custom made for him I would assume, since the car orignally had a 425.

The rumored LS7 that that prototype crate engine is based on supposedly has a 4.11X" bore and a 4" stroke. That comes out to ~425ci.

The engine Jay Leno got might have had some custom parts inside to handle the boost but, the cubic inches will be the same for everyone if GM does actually put this engine out as a crate engine.

BTW, that is the next engine going in the '06 Z06.

If you take the specs that were published with the blue car, the LS7 is a 427.7.

Nope. The 1966 model year car originally came with a 385hp 425ci engine. The 455ci didn't show up until 1968.
