Recent spotting???? You be the Judge. A buddy of mine (who owns a corvette), goes to University of Michigan Dental School in Ann Arbor. Being around that neck of the woods he sees many cars that I only wish I could spot. And he's a very personable guy who isn't afraid to walk up to anyone driving a nice car and shoot the **** with them. The best thing about his situation is that he sees all the factory tested proto's on the streets with manufacturing plates before almost anyone else sees them.
Well a few nights ago (March 8th), he happened upon something that could be huge.....or just nothing at all.
He's going to the coffee shop later at night and he sees this car in an empty lot with manufacturing plates on it. It was a C6 bodied car, but there was something different about it. So he goes to investigate further. He walks over there and immediately gives me a phone call to ask if I had heard about any new vettes in testing. Here's the description he gave me:
-coupe,
-black body cladding front and rear,
-White in color,
-rear glass has more bubble to it than a standard C6 (he always finds the details)
-3rd brake light extends the width of the rear hatch,
-wide looking body, appeared wider than a normal c6...about the width of the new Z we saw at the autoshow,
-headlights appeared larger inside the pods,
-split 5 spoke black wheels...."big *******" as he put it,
-lowered from stock ride height,
-2 BIG exhaust tips on it,
-no 'vette logo in the center of the facia,
-the B pillar and roof halo are black, NOT body color matching white,
-no badges, no CORVETTE indentation in the rear bumper,
-red/black interior,
-trailer hitch,
-and some funky sensors mounted all over and under the bumper.
-manufacturer tags.
A few days had passed....
He has been looking for this thing all over the place and finally bumped into some mid-late 30's guy driving it by the same coffee shop today (March 11th). He hollered, "Hey, how much power she got!?" The guy replied, "More than a new ZO6." Then just took off, not wanting to discuss anything.
Very odd. He was just sitting there contemplating the whole thing, and then came to the conclusion: Could this be the Blue Devil everyone has been rumoring about??????

There was a few sentences talking about them in anew Motor Trend saying 428ci, 700 supercharged hp (i think it was s/c) said maybe 2007 or 2008 IF it makes it.
