Default C6R Block?

The new C6R race engine has a 4.18" bore and a 3.875" stroke, which raises the question: can a C5R block be bored that big, or is this new hardware?

4.18x3.875... is this the 425ci configuration that went into Jay Leno's car?

Default 4.200 bore

I'm working with Darton to develop the 4.200" MID sleeve for the LS1 block. Should be available this summer. The holdup has been blanks with which to make the sleeves.

I'm going to recommend this large bore sleeve only for LS1 blocks not LS6. The reason is the holes in the main webs take away a great deal of support from the area between the cylinders.

By the way, Cometic already has the gaskets.
