LS7 dry sum setup info and pics
Based on those pics, I'd say that it's more of a "moist" sump setup than a true dry sump... I mean, sure, it has the external oil tank, but it still has a pickup in the pan so it can't be all THAT dry.
Still, a cool setup... I can't wait to see how it performs under real world conditions... honestly, the oiling system and the brakes seemed to be the major (performance) nitpicking points that a lot of auto-X/RR guys had on the C5 Z06. I wonder what excuses the Porsche and Ferrari guys will come up with now (as to why their cars are superior)??
