Oil pressure question
My first thought was that the typical oil-pump-o-ring mistake may have been made lowering the oil pressure.
The problem is that there is no oil pressure gauge on these cars and no generally available software yet that reads the PCM, so it's not easy for him to verify his oil pressure.
What's the best way to read the oil pressure? Is there an available plug to be removed for a mechanical gauge or should he read resistance across the sender? (where is the sender located?)
Any other suggestions as to what the ticking might be? I've been told that the mechanic rechecked the pushrod length and rocker arm adjustment.
He had some form of Patriot heads and an MTI Stealth Cam installed but I'm not sure of specifics.
Thanks.
I haven't heard the ticking yet, only talked to him about it.
Perhaps it's a benign ticking, but it would be nice to have a double check on the oil pressure just to be sure.
