Default LS2 into 2000 Silverado

I'm considering swapping in a LS2 (complete motor) into my 2000 Silverado. What issues will I need to address? I know the throttle body is a drive by wire, so I guess that will need to be replaced (with a Fast90??). I've read where the sensors and so forth are located "differently" than a "normal" ls1 (or truck motor)??? Any help is greatly appreciated....as I can get a new LS2 for around $5300 and it seems like the most economical way to go for a NEW motor w/400hp. Thanks in advance.

You could use the ssr intake with a 90mm fast tb. This way you could use your current accesories. A more economical swap would be a LQ9 though. With a cam swap and this motor you could make 450-500fwhp really easy for less money. This way you could use all of your current truck stuff and have a one day swap...not one week with lots more work.

I'd follow hellbent's idea on this one.

Less problems, issues to work with..

I sold a Cammed up LQ4 to Dewmanshu because I wasn't sure I wanted to go that route....I just like the idea of an all aluminum 6.0L with a pretty nice valve train to boot. I can get a new LS2 for around $5200....as opposed to a LQ9 for $3700....and I know for a fact that my last valvetrain for the LQ4 cost me around $800...totalling $4500. I'd rather go the additional $700 for the all aluminum LS2 complete with 90mm intake and throttle body...which is got to be worth something to somebody...better exhaust manifolds, etc. If you are talking used....I don't want used.

You could just use your stock truck intake along with everything on it couldn't you instead of getting a FAST 90? Probably giving up a few horses with the smaller TB but, not much I'd imagine.

That would be a great idea....since at $52xx or so...I would already be at the max as far as budget goes. I'm not sure how I want to go yet...but this 5.3 is "ticking" and rapping its *** off....and I just want to be prepared with SOMETHING to replace it. I'm all over the place...I've also considered picking up a low mileage 5.3 (cheap) and slapping a charger on it. I don't know!
