Default Rotating assembs.

who sells them and how much?

I wanting a stroker kit to take a 6.0 iron to 427. I've found some and prices I like but wanted to know what you all thought... Sponsers are welcome to drop in... I'm wanting to build the block to later handle some FI from a TT set up. yeah it will be a long while until I get them but It's the path i'm walking. I want a built bottom end that handle well into 800hp.

Thanks for reading

David

You can put together a custom stroker kit for about the same price, if not cheaper. How do you plan on getting 427ci out of a 6.0L block? Resleeve it I'm guessing? I could not find anyone that made a ready to go 427ci rotating assembly, so I just made my own with an Eagle crank, Lunati Rods, and Diamond custom pistons.

Wow, come to think of it, I haven't seen one either. Given the popularity of the 427 you'd think there would be a lot of people making a rotating assembly. Well, just remember when piecing together an assembly you'll need to have it balanced.

You could make a 427 cid iron-block engine with a 4.060" bore and 4.125" stroke. Considering the bore, I would recommend it only for a naturally-aspirated setup since cylinder walls will get pretty thin. For that stroke, I could get you a Lunati crankshaft with a custom Diamond Racing piston. For connecting rod choice, we have a big selection consisting of Scat I-beam, Scat H-beam, Lunati Pro Mod, Lunati Pro Billet, Manley billet, Crower, Callies, etc. Let me know what power level you're looking for, and I can suggest a set for you. Also let me know if you're wanting the bare rotating assembly or if you need bearings with it. You can either post up or e-mail me at trevor@texas-speed.com with the information, and I will be glad to get a price for you.

Well after some research i've decided to toss in the towel on a 427.. yeah saying I have one would be great;but the cost of sleving or boring and the dangers w/thin walls I think i'll stick to a 4.00 Iron with that 4.125 stroke... how much for everything including bearings? This motor will later be boosted.

You guys use clevite H bearing correct? and are the Mahle pistons more expensive than the diamonds?

Yes, we do use the Clevite H main and rod bearings and the Durabond camshaft bearing set. They offer the CH-23's for the 2nd-gen LS1 and LS2 blocks. The standard Mahle pistons are not anymore expensive than the Diamonds. The only time there will be an additional charge will be for their blower-specific piston set. It's for a 4.01" bore and 4.00" stroke setup using a 6.125" rod length, and it uses a -32cc dish. These pistons have already been tested to over 1,100 flywheel HP! These are the pistons we used in our 404 cid LS2 twin turbo setup for our C6. If you are looking to add boost down the road, the 4.125" stroke certainly won't be necessary.

E-mail me at trevor@texas-speed.com with your e-mail address, and I will e-mail you back with an itemized estimate showing the price for everything.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
