Default Looking for a good cam.

I hear alot about the HPE-S cam. but it's just an off the shelf general cam.

I'm wondering, thinking there's gotta be a better custom cam for my LS2.

Looking for a great cam for a LS2 GTO w/ in the end the following mods: Kooks longtubes, magnaflow exhaust w/ x-pipe, cold air intake. seems like so many parts on the motor are already up to the task to support a hotter cam.

it's gonna be a daily driver, but I don't mind a lumpy cam. as long as it starts, runs, and can keep running thats all I need.

not looking for something that's all top end and the bottom is crap. But from what I've experienced in the L67 world, that only happens on the real radical stuff.

suggestions for specs? any insight??

We are doing my buddys 05 gto with h/c and suporting bolt ons. the cam i picked for the motor is th f-13 from futral motorsports. It's a custom grind 230*/232* .585/.595 with a 112 lsa. rpm range is 2500-6800. i think that would be a good cam. The stock cam is like low 2XX duration and like 520 lift @ 116 lsa. Just my 2 cents.

good luck, Seth

ls1/2 stuff is not like L67 stuff. when they say its a radical cam...... they mean it.

Damn you modding the GTO already. Was a beautiful Pace you had. I would look at a Futral/TSP/HPE/LG cam man. They all have some badass cams for all aspects of driving. for sounds go to ls1sounds.com.

i'm totally new to this deal here, so anyone offhand know the stock LS2/LS6 cam specs, and then the "area" that I should be looking spec wise for an aftermarket cam? I only plan on going in there once or twice in it's lifetime, so I don't want a real mild cam. maybe till the warranty is up, I should consider something that has a stockish idle, that won't be noticeable, then later down the road get something quite a bit lumpier.
