Default Planning a LS2 402, how much would current Jet Hots choke it?

I'm looking at picking up a 402 over the winter and have it running by spring. But I'm trying to figure what parts I can keep and which ones I have to trade up on. Intake setup's good to swap. Fuel system will see a small upgrade. But back on topic. I currently have Jet Hot Longtubes with cats, and a Borla w/cutout. I'm not planning on building an all out max effort 550rwhp 1/4 mile only beast, so I'm not gonna pay $50+/hp to upgrade exhaust and heads. But I'd like to have some idea on what 1 3/4" primary Jet Hot's would choke an engine this size (from ideal).

P.S. Anyone remember about how much horsepower Delphi 37# injectors are good for (42.5lb at 58psi)

Obviously 1 7/8 Kooks would be great, but I'm in the same situation as you, in the next year or so I want to do a 402. I'm gonna keep my Jet Hots and AS heads but go with a bigger cam. I'm guessing keeping the Jet Hots might cost 20 rwhp.

It would all depend on supporting mods. Valve size, cam size. I'm sure you know it, but the cats will hurt you. You can sell your jet hots and upgrade to kooks or something. Wont hurt your wallet too bad and I think you'll feel it worth while. Like I said though, depends on how agressive everything else is.

KJ@SDPC is running a pretty good special on the Kooks right now. I'm actually considering selling the Jet Hots (if i can find a buyer), and switching to the Kooks 1 7/8" primaries and putting dual cutouts in front of the cats. That way I can have the best of all worlds. I already have one cutout in my Borla, I'll just move it forward, buy one more, and two y-pipes to weld in.
If you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go throw another pail of Miracle Grow on the money tree

Take my advice. When modding a car, the best thing to do is be patient on getting what you want. You go faster and save money. If the motor is out the car, you'll save money on header install. Things like that. Good luck and don't worry if you don't go aggressive and don't make 550rwhp, but make 500. 500 ponies is nothing to be ashamed of. Good luck.
