Factory supercharged Z06?

. You could be right since Corvette has always had a special place at GM, but Chevrolet did bring us the Nova of the 80's, and Olds (true not Chevy, but still GM) did re-introduce the 442 in '90 as
four cylinder, four valves per cylinder, dual overhead cam
That's as bad as anything that Ford has done to old marks as far as I can recall (maybe worse).
Not saying you're wrong, but a supercharged vette doesn't seem all that far fetched considering GM has made factory supercharged vehicles (and still does) in recent history, so might be comfortable with giving one a factory warranty.
Just $0.02
The Thunderbird was always a 2 seater sports car....Ford turned into a 4 door atrocity and then a poor attempt to bring it back ( *puke* if you ask me). Chevrolet kept the corvette a 2 seater sports car with no less than a V8. From '68 or '69 Chevrolet never put in a motor with less than 350ci's. And today they've still kept it that way ( ok...ok, LS1 = 346ci's....close enough, ill call it a 350)
And once again Chevrolet clings on to history: 2006 Corvette Z06 427 (despite the fact that its a smallblock....id rather have an LS7 than an L88 anyways) and below it a corvette with a 350. Do you guys see the relation to history?????
Chevrolet could have made the LS7 a 422 or 414 but they wanted to relate something small back to history. Did the Ford GT ever come with a blown DOHC 331ci??? Was there ever a Viper with a V10 in Dodges past???
People try to say "Wow, Ford really has gone far trying to make the new mustang look like the classic stangs...no other american car manufacturer tries to bring back history." And "Wow, Dodge/Chrysler remade the HEMI (its an LS1 if you ask me), where chevrolet at???" And now I tell you, Chevrolet isnt bringing back history, they are keeping history. They have always held onto history like no other car manufacturer.
If Chevrolet put a supercharger on a corvette, I would be insulted.
. If GM does come out with a blown Corvette with under 650hp (I've lowered my standards
) I will be disappointed. I like how GM is sticking with their old products, thats all im saying. They've made mistakes in the past (later model nova
) but who else offers a bit of history in there #1 sportscar.

When the blue devil rumor was announced, how come we never got any GOOD pics of the vette, maybe then we could have ruled out that it was actually a new Z06 before we ever saw some Z06 pictures.
As to GM killing the Camaro and Firebird....i dont know. Obviously it was a financial thing going on, from what we all know (or heard). GM made a VERY smart decison I think (in killing the firebird and camaro) because when the new mustang came out, everyone flocked towards it. What if GM were still making the firebird/camaro, I dont think anyone would have looked at one of those.
Im an idiot---True
Im a know-it-all---True
DanO is smarter than me---True
When and/if GM does make one im sure it would be bad but I personally dont like the idea. I kind of like how Chevrolet has been keeping their musclecars NA putting the fact aside that my motor in my TA is 9:1 comp forged and ready for a D1.....I havent seen alot of those magnuson corvette setups make anymore power than 500-550, im not saying thats impressive.
DanO, Ive blasted my mouth off enough, now lets have your professional opinion. Do you know something we dont?

I'm truely sorry for how my post was worded. I was pissed at something else and seeing you go back and forth with him when he works at Eaton just blew the lid. So i apologize for my reply to you, i just hope you now realize he does work for Eaton and he was purely talking as an insider, without saying more then he legally can.

It actually rounds to 428 (427.6 or .8 or some such) but who's counting.
