yes it did. before the swap i was running a stock ls1 bottom end with the 224/224 lsa114 and everything else was the same. dynoed at 395 on the same dyno. i got the motor from sdpc for about 4k and was shipped in 4 days.
i think the most gain was tq (80+ rwtq) you will really feel the difference

my dyno is tomorrow and I will be happy with 460/480. I, too, built a street driver/occasional track (the curvy kind) day car with a mild cam and only used my old LS6 intake and stock ported TB So I suspect I will have a fatter torque curve than the 500/500 cars but will probably fall off 20-30 rwhp above 4500 rpm from the LSx/90mm combos.

But than 90% of my time in a daily driver is spent below 4500 rpm. And the few times I am above 4500 my tires won't stop spinning anyhow.

The 402 will give insane torque over your current setup. The only thing we did comparable was a 402 with 4psi. It made 500lb's of torque from 3000rpm to 6500rpm.The only down fall might be the strength of the cylinder sleeves themself.I've heard 800rwhp is about the limit but we've had 600hp cars crack them top to bottom.

I've got 502/460 @ the wheels with a VERY small smog legal cam. Rapid who did my car pulls 553/490@ the wheels with their biggest cam. 4.0 x 4.0, AFR 225's, LSX 90mm, Kooks headers, all forged components with ARP.

Yeah and built for a little squeeze, or a little boost as well, again everything forged and only running 10.6 compression.

Weather permitting I'll be at the track 11/19, and will have e.t.'s to share.

Hmm, I am a bit surprised. I made 483 rwhp and 443 rwtq with what is a very mild mostly torque combo. However it did have 400 ftlbs from 60 mph (in 4th) up to whatever was redline (130 mph). Just incredibly flat torque curve.

I have the file and will reread it with an rpm baseline later tonite.
