will the ls1 pan fit on the ls2???

well i want to put the ls2 into my 3rd gen and i want to know if the f body ls1 oil pan will fit onto the ls2 so it will fit in to the 3rd gen??,thanks guys

I put an LS2/402 in a 98 vette a few months ago and the pan fit perfect.

nice but thats not a fbody it has a diff pan and would take more modifing to make it fit in a fbody

I put a LS1 F body pan on my GTO LS2 to fit my chassis. Ihad to change the deflector because the front sump deflector would not fit. The front sump pan has the dipstick in the side of the pan, so I had to punch out the plug in the block to allow a dipstick. I will have to use a Lokar or similar dipstick since the manifolds will not allow the use of a stock LS1 dipstick.
