LS2 coils better than LS1 coils?
I read somewhere they produce more per input than the LS1 version.
Physically though they will bolt on to LS1 rocker covers...well all the holes line up. The problems are that the LS2 coil assembly sits over an inch higher up the face of the rocker cover (closer to the injectors), and also the extra thickness of the LS2 assembly at its topmost underneath edge. This thickness is due to the new rectangular hollow section which encloses the main wiring.
The LS2 coil assembly rests upon the vent nipples and hoses at the top of the LS1 rocker cover.....but you could make it fit by using a complete set of longer studs and spacers about 3/4" thick.
Pics below try to show the LS2 assembly and how it ends up closer to the injectors compared to an LS1 assembly. Same piece of wood in each pic.

Has anyone tried running LS2 coils on an LS1 w/LS1 PCM?
