Wouldn't those cylinder walls be paper thin?

They are thin but resleeved cylinders are tough as nails.

its that expensive because they will be building you custom headers (or at least modifying current pieces) and probably machining some adapter for the intake. the ERL stuff is just a big tall deck plate that sits on the block so everything will be taller and wider. That's why they do it in house.

Actually all, the cylinders are not thin at all, over .200" thick everywhere as far as I am told. You can only get these through certified dealers one of which we are and I believe the only one on the Westcoast. I can tell you that a normal LS1/LS2 cannot support the power this thing can, there is simply not enough CI. to deliver it on pump gas in a driveable configuration. We are still awaiting final release of the system and trying to nail down someone interested in do a complete build. One thing is for sure, whoever does order the first one will have a very "High Profile" build on their hands, we are expecting article from a few different magazines to be interested in the build as it will be the first N/A "street build" of its kind. If anyone is interested, please give us a call we are anxious to start the ball rolling on this monster! I assure you, when released, this will be a top notch quality piece, ERL does extremely high quality work, I have seen it with my own eyes and their facility is a multi million dollar collection of equipment and enginering professionals!
