If you build an LS7 block from the ground up using current aftermarket cranks you would be forced to retro to wet sump... unless you are going full race and purchase an external belt driven pump and an aftermarket pan. What sets the LS7 engine apart from its GENIII/IV predecessor's, among other things, is its long crank snout that accommodates the twin rotor pump.

If someone is looking for a company to produce aftermarket parts that support the LS7 engine and its dry sump in other vehicles my bet is you'll see a bunch of one off's and probably not much manufacturing support for such a low production crate engine. However, if the LS7 dry sump craze catches on with folks looking for a relatively cheap way to go dry sump for their intended application then you might start seeing aftermarket support parts pop up...

scoggin dickey parts center has a ls7 with the oiling system, if what i saw was accurate. you might want to do some browsing on their site.
