LS7 Throttle Body
LS7 Throttle Body I decided to disect this to see if I could avoid buying a FAST version when I have a perfectly good one. After defeating the securtiy screws and popping it apart I discovered it is possible to attached something directly to the throttle shaft and attach an arm for a cable. Best part is I think I can use the factory TPS which is concentric on the shaft by sorting out the wires. Nice sealed housing etc.
My excitement ended when I realized that without the drive-by-wire motor I have no idle control. I am planning on using BigStuf3 to run this engine (go Jurt at W2W!) but I am guessing this may be a show stopper. Since the IAC is a glorifed idle passage I could probably solve that with a bypass port and an IAC.
Anyone try any of this?
