Knock Senser placement ?

you should have a motor mount hole that is not being used. The best thig to do is mount the headers to the engine and make sure they will clear. In some cases they will not clear. the good news is the knock sensor will work just fine anywere you can put it on the block, and the LS2 block has several different places to get you going!!

Like they said. Depends on header clearance.
Pic below is where I put mine.......same both sides.
2 min with a hand drill and a hand tap got threads from M8 to M10.

tapped out a spare motor mount hole on our LS7. It was M10x1.5 I believe..

I put one in each side of the block in the back motor mount holes that are not used. They are close to my headers so i bent the cable back towards the sensor and zip tied it to the sensor. It gives me like 1/2 in of clearance. Make sure that you get the connector on before you put in the starter on the passenger side or you wont be able to get to it.
