Potential Powertrain for a'79 Vette
Please be patient, cuz I'm a newbie to this area...
I have a buddy that's lookin' to revive his '79 vette. To start, he's lookin' to bolt in something that'll put down ~350 - 400 RWHP (N/A). We're wondering what would be the choices from LS2 up to LS7? I'm sure someone has done this swap before, and I don't know much about the vettes to guide him in the best direction.
BTW, this buddy is my wife's mom's b/f, and he doesn't have access to the internet. Thx for any help anyone can provide!

There are quite a few guys on CorvetteForum.com, in the C3 Section, who have done this. We'll be putting an LS6 into a 1975 Vette in the fall. It's pretty much bolt in. Street and Performance has motor mounts etc.
