Default LS2 Cam Question

I have a quick cam question. Will the LS2 accept the same aftermarket cams that the LS1 ?? If so is there any difference between how say a FM13 would feel in an LS2 v/s LS1? I did a lot of research and had a few picked out for my LS1. Now I have an LS2 GTO and was wondering if my research still holds true or do i need to start over and research what I want for this one?

Thanks.

Yes, LS1 cams will fit in the LS2. Considering you now have more displacement and better flowing heads you might want to look at different cams (not there is anything wrong with your choice)to maximize you setup.

Cool. So I'm guessing that'd be a "bigger" cam? I'll start looking into it more. Thanks for the reply.

Isnt cam sensor in the front of LS2 motor? This means cams are not interchangable between them.

The cam sensor is located in the front timing cover and the LS2 cam sprocket is solid with a "bar". The combination produces the cam sensor signal. So you can use a LS1 or LS2 cam. But, you can't use a LS2 cam in a LS1 because the LS2 cams do not have a reluctor ring on the rear of the camshaft.
