I do like Alan Futurals custom specs if you talk to him and tell him exactly what you want from you set up I thought he did a very good job the few times I have called him I saw you posted that they only wanted to sell you one of there off the shelf grinds everyone will try and do that for sure if they think one of them will suit your needs and for the most part they are right, but for the person who is looking for something matched to every aspect of the setup in your car etc... a custom grind is probably the way to go. Another example of that sell you something off the shelf just call Comp Cam tech line and watch as they try to sell you one of the grinds they already make. And if you ask for something to match your components LOL! They are like well what did you have in mind LOL! Good luck! And I am sure you will figure it out I think I design good grinds myself although I am not trying to be the fastest just part of the top team members LOL!

I have no specific recommendation but I would try to go with whoever has the most experience with custom heads/CI variances.

The problem with choosing a cam is that you can never be sure what you have is perfect. You only get that with swapping cams in the same setup and comparing results.

Good Luck!!

Interesting... Most of the company's recommended in this thread didn't even return my emails so they get a from me. Comp Cams, Crane and Lunati were the ONLY ones that took the time to answer emails or return phone calls. I even had one company, (very well known board member here) turn down my request... Said "sorry, but we don't want do build a Cam for you."... Just like that... with no reason why... I'll spare them the embarrassment and not mention their name... But they know who they are.

i had a very easy time calling and talking to Geoff at thunder, spent the time to work out a custom cam for me. It was grinded at comp sent to thunder, they doctored it, and sent it out to me with the final specs with in a week. Have to say i was very happy.

out of anyone mentioned in here. I would prefer Steve Lowe @ LSM

I would also give Pecos and Bryan a call at LME

ummm Erik Koenig at HPE would also be a good guy to talk too.

Katech is also another good choice

Four best people on the site that I would suggest unless you could get maybe even Scooter Brothers of Comp Cams would also be worth while.
