Knock Sensors I would like to know if any of you have had issues with the LS2 Knock Sensors.
I'm putting a 402 LS2 in a 2004 GTO and I will use wiring adapters to make the knock sensors work with the LS1 system. But, because the sensors and electronics are tuned for harmonics in one part of the engine, I'm wondering how effective the system will be in another area.

That's a good question. The LS1 knock sensors are proven to work in the LS2 block and location but it's real hard to really pinpoint how accurate they are. I have them turned off on my LS2 402, but may turn them on in the future.

I was under the impression that the LS2 knock sensors utilize a different type of signal that cannot be read by the LS1 PCM. I just used the LS1 knock sensors on the side of the block as many others have done, and it seems to work fine.
