Internal leak?

Internal leak? I am going through 1 quart of oil every 500 miles of highway driving. I now have 5500 miles on the new 402 crate motor with new AFR 225 heads. I expected to find that the valve stem oil seals were missing, but they are there. A leak down test @ 100psi was 98-99 percent on all cylinders except for #1 which was 95. Slightly disappointing with the #1, but I seriously doubt it is enough to explain the oil consumption. Plugs have some carbon but were generally pretty good looking. None were wet looking. I have used regular (non synthetic) oil to make sure the rings have seated.
My car is a 2002 ZO6. Factory intake, air box, & throttle body; LG long tube headers with high flow cats; factory TI mufflers; Comp Cam 228/230 @.591" @ .050", 114 lsa.
Is there something that should have been plugged within the engine that my mechanic may have missed that is allowing oil to be sucked into the intake stream? The mechanic did install an engine breather bypassing the pvc to see if that would help, but no change whatsoever. The back of my yellow car is quickly speckled with black #%^ from the exhaust.

I should add that the car gets 25mpg @ 75-80mph cruise and dyno'd 480rwhp. It is now a LS2 block.
