Are you it's not the rod bolt scraping against the windage tray? You're supposed to shim the windage tray for clearance.

It's probably hitting the windage tray. Just space it out with some washers.

NO!!!!!! i shimmed the tray this is hitting the oil pan the tray on the F body only goes from the #3-#8 cylinders #s 1 and 2 don't hit the windage tray.
I have heard that callies and lunati rods don't have a problem. I want to hear from anyone else w/ eagle rods w/ a 408

Mine hit bad, I have aluminum rods though. I cut a hole about 2" by 1" where the problem area is and welded a plate to the bottom. problem fixed.

I had the same problem with my 4.100 eagle crank & 6.125 rods, cut a gruve in the pan to clear the rod bolt

yea I had to grind the oil pan to get it to fit. As i was doing that it got to thin around the groove that was in the stock pan so i sent it out and had the pan reinforced around that area by welding it and regrinding it

Yes on some you have to grind the pan every once in a while but not always and this goes for all strokers as well.
