Default What block(s) will 8.1 heads/intake fit???
what block(s) will these heads fit? will they only fit an 8.1?

Yeah they will only fit the 8.1 because it is the "big block" of today. It's the only one of its size that I know of.

I would assume only 8.1's. They are big block heads aren't they?

yes, they are big block heads. when i bought them i was told that they would fit any big block that was 91-up. but it seems that this is not the case??

The 8.1 has been around a while, I dont think those will fit a 454 though and thats what was used early 90's, but they will fit any late model big block, the key phrase is big block

Are there any places I can get info on the 8.1?
Is it based off the Gen 3/4 design, or it more based upon the original BBC?
It would be amazing if they had Gen 3/4 architecture(6 bolt mains, firing order...).

The 8.1's don't really have anything in common with Gen IIIs or Gen IVs

It ain't 454 bolt on so what would you call it? It's the next generation as far as big block stuff goes.

its the gen III big block.. it has about as much in common with the LS1s as the SBC have in common with the BBC.
