There are people who have used 16 exhaust rockers without issues, I know of a person with 8000 miles on them. However, there has been concern that the wear pattern on the valve stem may lead to shorter life. A lot of 'opinion' on the topic right now, not a lot of hard evidence. 8000 miles on a modded motor sounds like a successful swap to me.

What are the advantages to this? Are they 1.8 ratio?

Jeff, Yes, the LS7 rockes are a 1:8 ratio...

Take a GENIII rocker (LS1/2/6, etc) and an LS7 exhaust rocker, turn them upside down and set them side by side centered at the fulcrum... and that will show you why the LS7 exhaust rocker will not center on top of the valve stem of a GENIII head. Ya, sure, some people run them but do so at their own risk... I certainly wouldn't recommend it. Just my opinion.

You are much better off getting the SLP 1.8 rockers... if your goal is increasing lift without changing the cam...
