worth swapping motors?
worth swapping motors? Is it worth swapping out my '00 LS1 for a '98-up (not sure of year yet but know it's not LS7) Z06 motor? How much hp/torque did they make stock?
Jesus...... start looking around at used ones, You can pick up a decent 3200 pretty cheap these days, start a thresad in the "parts wanted" section and look for a yank, fuddle, tci, b&m, or even a vigelante used 3500 converter... chances are you'll find one that's not too old for 300 bucks.. if it takes you a year to save that.. you need to get a better job LOL!
There's nothing wrong with used speed parts... just talk to the guy you're buying from and make sure you feel you can trust him. Talk to Eastside, they may have a used converter that would work for you, and if they do, and are willing to sell it, you can probably feel pretty good that you're not getting a junk part.
Alot of parts on my car are somethign I picked up from someone that had it for a while and didn't like it or wanted to go bigger.. and I have yet to have a single problem with any of them.
