Why not build a 4.125 inch bore/ 4.125 inch stroke motor? That would make a huge inch motor. At that 8k rpm shouldnt be a problem at all. .............This setup will make a hell of alot more power.

your right it would be bigger 441 inch and will make more power but it wont spin up as fast. You would also have to worry more about piston "rock", at least that is what I have been told. Besides some people (like my self) like little motors! I love the thought of beating a guy with a big inch motor, when all I have is a little 327 or 283.

lol, you only have to worry about spinning it up, if you slow it down first.. im a drag race guy, so no worries about spinning it up... she'd be near redline when the race starts. lol.

you would have to worry about the piston "rocking" since it would have a very short skirt (in this case, thats a bad thing) to clear the crank... however, if its built right, that doesnt really matter, the extra cubes far offsets the downsides for the app im envisioning.
