Help! How do the the Alternator Pulley Off?

Help! How do the the Alternator Pulley Off? How do I get the LS2 Alternator Pulley Off!????? It has a funky nut on it... It has the Torx or the Allen head in the middle and a Reversed Gear kind of nut... What type of Special tool do I need to take it off?

2 ways I have found work.....
hold the alt in a bench vise, an allen in the shaft and a wrench with a tube making it a 5 foot long wrench.
OR
wedge the alt still internally somehow, and hit the nut with one hell of an impact
