Default Big Question !

Was going to put a LS-2 in my 02 convert. w/automatic but just heard that a LS-6 would be much much easier with less **** to change over like wire harness, computer,etc. Plus it's actually about a hundred dollars cheaper than the LS-2 crate motor. Anybody know for sure ?

Good god, were are all these Shreveport cars coming from? I swear I haven't seen any on the road! If you go with the LS2, you'll have to get knock sensor and cam sensor extention harnesses. There are relitivly cheap. The only problem I can see is the reluctor wheel on the crate LS2 being diffrent from the one in your LS1. I believe the signals may be diffrent, but someone will chime in as to if they are or not. If that's the case, why not buy a nice LS2 short block from a sponsor, for less than the crate motor, and have the best of everything. Forged internals, ported heads, mild cam. Much more motor for the money and it will drop right in. I have a LS2 block going in my Camaro that was built by one of our sponsors. 05 has the right reluctor, 06 is a problem.
