Default Who makes a 30 over piston for 402

What would be the best piston to go with to go .030 in my 402.

I have some cylinder wall imperfections i need to clean up.

Diamond

Diamond part number is 11519 (-2cc Flattop)
or 11521(-15cc dish)
I can do either set with Diamond Pro-Select rings for $750.00 shipped to you.

GM says .020 over on the LS2, .030 would be pushing it VERY hard

well, if you already have a 402, you're .005 over, so you want to go to 4.035??

you don't need to go that far if you just want a 'clean up' .005 should be fine. there are a few people out there that will do 4.030 bore on an ls2 though.

as far as where to get the pistons, diamond will make whatever you want

Well i have a very bad feeling that it is going to take 30 but i will see. I had problems getting my car started when i put it together and the cylinder walls got washed with fuel and it scared the wall and the pistons. it runs fine right now but used a little oil but i am tring to decide if i want to run the rest of the season like it is or just quit for the years and get working on it for next year. It by far exceeded my expectations already for only being together for 6 months going a 6.15@116 on 125 shot of gas so i am heavily thinking of just taking it apart now and getting ready for next year

Wrong. You can go .030" over on an aluminum block. If it sonic checks good then beat the **** out of it. Shirl Dickey does a lot of 418 builds (4.03" bore with a 4.1" stroke) and they see a ton of abuse in the power adder department and lots of them are on SCCA cars that see a ton of abuse. So yes it can be done.
