I am not sure sure how it compares to others in the area as I haven't done back to back runs with another one.

I love the internet haters trying to put down an hydraulic cam 427 that makes about 650HP at the crank ; Anyways I am typing this from the track where I have been since Friday.... This weekend is the 1st time out with the car and in 4075ft DA @ 3400lbs RW it's already gone 10.5NA and 9.8@141 1.43 60' with a 150HP ring Not bad for A4 hyd cam street car

With the the big improvement in heads/intake design I'm curious how these motors will do compared to a big ci afr, ETP, etc head/fast intake combo (500-540rwhp).

I know lg did 607 rwhp in a zo6 but not sure if that is easily repeatable. I was thinking 580-610rwhp with these motors would be nice, on pump gas.

Nothing against LG but I don't see a single time slip to go along their dyno numbers.... Look at Katech's built up LS7's.... 640HP at the crank with ported LS7 heads bigger hydraulic cam dynoed with 100 octane gas.... Same motor with torquer cam made 600HP at the crank... Who do you have more confidence in???

Those are pretty good times considering the D/A yesterday. I'm sure they'll drop considerably when the cool air comes in. What was the mph on the motor?

Don't forget that Mizfit Motorsports made close to 700 hp at the crank with their LS7 with ported heads ect... Also remember, that Katech tailors these engine packages for driveability and streetmanners. Their Track attack package makes 650+ hp at the crank. I was told by them for a "big" street cam to put in something along the lines of a 230/260 duration cam. But I think that a larger cam would make a lot more topend power, but like they said, the short intake runners and large valves of the ls7 intake/heads won't make enough hp to outweigh the loss in lowend torque. But, indeed, i think that a bit of an increase in the intake side will definitely net a lot more hp.
I also have no doubt what so ever that Katech could easily make an engine that burns 700+hp at the crank using all LS7 stuff and a nice hydraulic cam. But strict hp is not what they're going for.

I did my 1st spray pass today with the 150hp shot in 3000ft DA and went 9.7 @ 142 with a 1.40 sixty.... On the motor it traps consistant 129's... I feel the tight converter is hurting the NA numbers.... I might get a single disk looser verter for NA passes.... Anyways.... The motor makes what it makes.... I am happy with 9.7's the 1st time out in bad air with a small 150 hit
