Default ls2 stroker/l92 set up

Would I run into any problems with this set up. I wanted to run a ls2 402 short block topped off with l92 heads and intake. Would I run into any problems with this? Anyone have a similar set up done yet? Cam suggestions? Power ratings? I just seen all the new l92 stuff is for sale and think this would be a great set up with a nice big cam stuffed into my Fbody.

I think everybody and their mother is waiting for results from one of these setups. I know I am.

If my mom is waiting too I better give her a call and see what she knows. Would 550 rwhp be out of the question with a pretty sick cam?

I don't think you will need a big cam with the cross section that these heads have. The one thing is the smaller bore, that's going to take some of the exhaust bias out of the cams which is not a bad thing.

The biggie is the dam car intakes, everyone is waiting on those.

I thought the LS2 intake was the same thing as an LS6 intake. What's the difference? Why would they go backwards?

They are very different: LS6= 78mm LS2= 90mm In stock form the ls2 is not as good as the LS6. However in fully ported form there have been several people that have had very good results, some of them claim results as good a ported fast90. I have heard a few people say that the more cubes you are running the better it is. Just hearsay though.

Ain't those intakes made of plastic like the ls6. You really can't port that can you?

Yes they are plastic, however you can port them. Maybe not to the extent of an aluminum intake, but you can gain quite a significant amount.

Leave it to the experts, really easy to break through. I have heard about $250 to port one.

You can do it yourself. Use gasket material or thick paper to get your head ports. Then match it to your intake. Take your time. There is some casting flash in the runners, so clean that up too.
