Default mahle pistons/eagle rods

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H-BEA...QQcmdZViewItem

okay I was browsing ebay for rods and pistons for my LS2. I found the above listed. I havent heard bad things about mahle and based off my 383 LT1 eagle makes a quality rod.

can someone tell me why these are only $760 including ARP rod bolts and mahle rings?

I am about to give them a call and order a 6.098" rod and 4" piston for my stock crank LS2. does anyone have any reason I shouldnt pull the trigger on this deal?

Bought the same kit. The rods are generic made but to the untrained eye you could not tell the difference between them and eagle except for the stamp. The pistons are top quality pieces buy it if your on a buget or not.

Those are not eagle, because you can buy them for 275.00 on another auction. There is nothing wrong with them and are great for most 75% of the applications out there, and besides the eagle fits in that same 75%. I remeber a time when the eagle was consider the Carrillo rejects (original H-beam rod manufacture 1800 set) "generic". The quality is there buy them. I put them in a iron 6.0l after the 402 messed up. I put a D-1 procharger on this motor with these parts. I have since sold the car and never took it to the dyno. The guy that has purchased the car is going to dyno it soon and shoot for 550 rwhp and I think he will get it with out a problem.
