HELP! firing order for 454

Anyone know the correct firing order for a 454. My neighbor changed his plug wires in his motorhome and did not mark them.

Misfires pretty good now

1-8-4-3-6-5-7-2 clockwise on the distributor.

to add to that number 1 cyl on the distributor should point towards number 1 cyl as long as the distributor is installed correctly
