Default porting with stock cam

Has anybody tried porting the heads/intake/tb/filter on a ls7 but keeping the stock cam?

If so, could you share your dyno sheet?

Why not skip all that and just do the cam, probably way more cost/power/time efficient?

Or just sell the motor and buy a ford j/k I hate trolls as next as the next person but I would just do the cam alot people are getting nice mid to high 500 hp out of cam/tune/intake ls7's

I've owned a dozen of built cammed motors (half of which made more than a c6 z06) and I'm sick of the idle and drivability. After having done my shared of forced induction cars, I really dont feel like that sacrafice is warranted.

I'm wondering how much can be gained NA with the stock cam, just by basic cleanup and tune.

Has anybody given this a shot?

You are on the road less traveled here - I don't think you will find anyone on here that has done that with conclusive results to back it up. If anyone, it would be Katech most likely.

I'll have some results when I get my heads finished (not sure how long before they're done). My ported intake is in route as we speak.
