Question L-92 questions......

Ok guys here is a list of questions I have regarding the L-92 motor, I have done some searches and have had some of these answered however some answer where not too clear to me

Here we go....
1. Can I use Ls1 style heads on the motor? Obviously just to accept the 4.080 bore (slightly bored motor)

2. Are Ls1 lifters acceptable?

3. What intake manifold do you have to use?? If I use the Ls1 style will a FAST work?? or is the only option to go Sheet metal or the L-92 intake??

4. If you go with the L-92 intake will the FAST 90mm TB work??

5. Oil pan and all covers are the same except, for the timing cover, rear cover and valley cover, along with lifter trays and timing chain......???

6. With the L-92 heads they seem to have poor exhaust flow.. And even with port work they can only be opened so much, this will be a nitrous race motor and needs a high flowing exhaust, also the intake flow #'s seem nice with port work however the runner size is 270cc correct?? This seems very large and the velocity would be effected a great deal. Is this all correct or am I missing something??

Try a lot of searching and reading. You will find a lot of answers to your questions and more on the velocity vs port size and intake.

Intake is dependant on heads. L92 heads only work with the specific L76 intake (which is better than the FAST 90 LSX anyway).

I'm going to wait until someone has a good CNC set of the L92 heads out. Then we will see what they can do. For now its a watch and wait game. As it sits they are "ok" but as you said the exhaust performance is close to an LS1 head.

I was kind of thinking I could get away with my Dart 3.898 bore heads on a 416 4.060? until I needed more power. Will that work ok? Im assuming it will apart from the shrouding.
