Default LS7 Ti rod durability

Does anyone have any experience running the ls7's stock rods/crankshaft with big boost. I plan to run an ls7 stock except for new turbo pistons and about 8.5 c.r. I would like to make 1000-1200hp at the crank in the 15psi range.

Does anyone have concerns about the durability of the stock bottom end other than the pistons? Has anyone had the titanium rods fail?

I recall hearing about an LS7 motor going to pieces and the rods themselves were basically the culprit of destroying the whole motor. They were the only thing that didn't break, and as a result....swung throughout the whole block like a wrecking ball.

Off subject sorry, Mike you live in Coopersville? I wondered why the hell I keep seeing a Jeep with a Stenod sticker on it. I am in Spring Lake.

BTW I have not heard of a LS7 rod failing yet.

No I don't live in Coopersville. I live in Richland/Gull Lake....an outlying border town of Kalamazoo. My Jeep doesn't have a Stenod sticker on it....must be another hotrodder out there.

I'm jealous...I want a sticker.

And ironically, I did drive my car up to Spring Lake the other month. I use to date a girl up there that works at a gym. I normally take my Jeep, but decided to drive the car to the beach. PM me if you have any good car contacts in the GR area....the Kzoo scene is getting very stale.
