It is in the trucks. I know for sure it is in the Escalades, I am not sure which trucks though. Prolly the GMC and a option in the Silverados, not sure about that though.

Currently is only in the 07 Caddy Escalades and the 07 GMC denali truck/suv.

It's not in the silverados yet.

However, from what i've read, i THINK... the VortexMax, is a 6.0 with L92 heads and the L92 truck intake.

The L76 VortecMax is basically a L92 with a 4.00 bore. And maybe a different tune. And it hads DOD on it were as the L92 currently doesn't have DOD.

Bo185 the GM L92 based vehicle's do have DOD, its name is actually Active Fuel Management.
The L92 in the GMC Yukon Denali does not have VVT (Cam Phaser) and is only rated to 380hp.
The L92 in the Caddy has VVT and is rated to 408hp.
The Vortec Max in the 07 silverado is the L76.
Ironicly the Chevy Tahoe doesn't offer anything larger then the 5.3L Iron Block, but the TrailBlazer SS comes with the LS2???

The L92 shortblocks that are being built just plug the feeds to the solinoids and use the LS1/LS2/LS7 style lifters.

Now I liked DOD over AFM.
I'm guessing someone in GM's upper management thought having the same designation as the department of defense was a bad idea.

Then that someone is a dufus, because it's DoD, not DOD.

So were did you get that information? Web, GM, or a dealer???

From what I have seen and heard the componets are installed in the L92 they just aren't using it yet. They seem to be having problems with the Active Fuel Management (DOD) and the 6L80E trans. working together.

From what I have read all the L92's have VVT. Any information and sources as to actually what they have or don't have?

The L76 vortec max motor has AFM and VVT.
L76 per Chevrolet web site.
Vortec MAX 6.0L V8 engine features:

* Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology that optimizes combustion, enhances low-end torque and high-end power, promotes fuel efficiency, and helps lower emissions
